Fascinated by & encouraged to read illustrative childrens
books I was influenced particularly by Kate Greenaway, Holly
Hobbie, Cecily Mary Barker, Michael Hague and Janet and Ann
Grahame-Johnstone.
It was the book a 'Day in Fairyland' published in 1948 belonging
to my mother and illustrated by Ann Mari Sogren that I met
some of my first fairies.
Born in 1970, my interests centre around classical music,
conservation of the environment and wildlife.
Nature means everything to me. I live my life for it and
by it.
All my creative artwork comes from being a peace loving,
calm and practising yogi person, believing passionately of
total peace and harmony. Each of my pictures is balanced down
to how I feel each day, what food I eat and how much exercise
I have taken.

For the last eight years, James Browne, has been creating
images that catch the eye and touch the heart of viewers of
all ages.
Taking reality and fantasy and molding them together, he
is able to create a world of its own, where imagination soars.
Primarily an Illustrator, James currently has several children's
book projects underway, as well as a number of varied commissions.
Previous commissions have included collectable plate designs,
children and "family tree" portraitures, architectural / landscape
illustrations, and, of course, numerous works within his specialty
of children's storybook and fantasy illustration.
He maintains his studio and residence, with his inspirational
wife, Nadine, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
"I have a lifetime to paint, with a subject matter that
is endless, with one goal in mind, and that is, to keep the
child in all of us. "
